Job Description

We have an immediate, direct hire opportunity for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist in the Dayton area. 



Primary Duties:

• Exhibits proficiency with CNC lathes as primary focus

• Setup, adjust and operate safely CNC Lathes to tight tolerances (.0001-2)

• Change tooling as required by job, touch off as required

• Read and make offsets to CNC programs as required

• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T experienced needed

• Perform First Piece and In-Process inspections to meet drawing specifications, using quality measuring instruments

• Must be able to understand shop math, applies knowledge of geometry and trigonometry as applicable to machining

• Other duties as assigned

Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

• Machining on-the-job experience and/or certification from appropriate vocational school

• Efficient experience on CNC Vertical Machining Centers, CNC Wire EDM a plus

• Demonstrates ability to read and understand blueprints

• Demonstrates ability to follow basic verbal and/or written instructions

• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability and actively work in a team environment, which includes communicating effectively with team members and support staff, being self-motivated, accepting responsibility for one’s own work

• Flexibility to learn, grow your abilities and knowledge on other equipment

• Ability to work in small teams to accomplish scheduling requirements

• Ability to operate safely multiple machines

This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

• Work schedule generally consists of 40 hours per week plus overtime as required

• Ability to regularly lift/ maneuver up to 50 lbs.
