Production Engineer Technician

Job Summary: This position enhances the production process by optimizing cycle time and quality through process improvement activities, cycle time studies and root cause analysis. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • CNC programming and editing is the primary role.
  • Tests competitor tools on fixtures to increase tool life, the quality of the par and reduce cycle time.
  • Adjusts machines to accommodate changes in Die Cast conditions or other change factors.
  • Participates in line improvement activities through analyzing process flow, making recommendations to improve process flow while considering economic and production constraints and requirements.
  • Completes project activities as directed by senior management, requiring both data analysis and follow up.
  • Creates reports to show progress of kaizen activities including situation analysis and countermeasure activity. 


  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Industrial or Process Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related field preferred.
  • This position requires 1-3 years engineering experience in a mass production, manufacturing environment.
  • This position requires the ability to analyze data, understand process flow, read drawings, report data, write work instructions, and use quality control tools including calipers and micrometers.  Strong mechanical aptitude.  Microsoft Office, AutoCAD.  CNC, PLC and Robot programing preferred.  Organization, interpersonal, and computer skills, and the ability to work in a team environment are also required.
  • The position requires the ability to work in a climate controlled office, a shop floor environment, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
