Job Description

Job Summary:  The successful candidate will focus on improving productivity and help with equipment quality improvements. They will have a good knowledge and understanding of equipment engineering (MC/NC/Robot/Machining), ability to train production leaders, and create SOP's.  Will report to the Kaizen Manager. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for providing correct productivity data from each production line and create a Kaizen plan for worst scenarios
  • Correct and organize problem point C/M sheet from floor each week
  • Train Team Leaders and confirm MT and CT of all equipment (once a week)
  • Perform countermeasures if lines do not meet MT and CT plans
  • Coordinate with production managers on defect items
  • Perform one Kaizen activity with one person per day
  • Actively compile Before & After on Kaizen sheet and report it at Productivity Improvement Meeting (2 times a month)
  • Perform 5S activities
  • Must attend training classes for NC/MC/Robot (OJT, OFFJT) 

Other Functions: 

  • Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors, and government officials.
  • Maintains a clean working environment.
  • Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.
  • Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates.
  • Communicates with Associates and Assistant Manager/Manager regarding safety, quality, and production issues. 

Requirements

Education:  Two to four year technical degree preferred

Experience: One to two years' experience in facility and equipment maintenance required.

Skills: Good understanding of plant electrical, mechanical, PLC, HVAC, hydraulics, compressed air system, pneumatics, data entry skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
