Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides customers with technical support on-site for installation and startup, preventative and corrective maintenance, application support, and system modifications.
  • Performs emergency corrective maintenance in the filed utilizing in-depth troubleshooting for a wide variety of robot models and peripheral equipment.
  • Provides in-depth troubleshooting via phone with customers in the field.
  • Adheres to safety standards in the field and at customer locations.
  • Accurately and in a timely manner completes all paperwork associated with service trips.
  • Assists the Repair Department with in-house preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Informs Regional Sales Managers (RSM) of service-related issues in their area and coordinates any sales leads with the appropriate RSM.
  • Provides support to Customer Service Department regarding identification of repair parts issues for customers.
  • Assists customers with modifications/retrofits of equipment to existing systems.
  • Assists with welding and automation in-house training classes as necessary. 

Job Specifications:

Knowledge of Welding, Robotics, Computers, Electronics, Analog, and Digital Circuitry.

Ability to:

  • Read and understand mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Demonstrate capability and knowledge of solid-state devices, codes, and the operation of electronic test equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem solving.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Travel upon request (35% of the time). 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

As Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent is required plus three to five years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have a valid Driver’s License
