Job Description

  We have an immediate, direct hire opportunity for a Controls Systems Supervisor in Dayton!

The company specializes in the design and build of special machines, dies, gages, jigs and fixtures. They offer a turnkey approach to solve the toughest manufacturing challenges. They provide solutions for everything from detail tooling to full program management, including engineering, panel building, full installation, PLC programming, statistical process gages, leak test machines and composite molds.

  • Consult with customers, salesman, designers, and toolmakers to fulfill automation systems per customer requirements
  • Maintain good housekeeping and preventative maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure Employees follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment.
  • Supervise personnel, Controls Designers, Electricians, PLC programmers and Engineers.
  • Develop personnel to reach each person’s full potential
  • Communicate schedules and critical information to employees, delegating work, monitoring production schedules.
  • Obtain relevant information concerning the concept, design, Build and programming of controls systems.
  • Confirm or obtain the proper hardware and software materials needed to process and produce products.
  • Able to supervise personnel using CAD/CAM software designing electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Able to use and supervise personnel using A-B, Siemens PLC programming software.
  • Prepare Reports and correspondence where information must be obtained from a variety of sources
  • Continuous improvement of operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate problems, increase
  • productivity and improve product quality.
  • Maintaining and establishing records and documentation of all types as required.

Thorough knowledge of PLC programming and debugging.
Experience as a group leader or control department supervisor.
Experience in a Turn Key Special equipment manufacturing environment. Quote, Design, Build, Debug, run-off and install.
Through knowledge of OHSA, safety and NSPA-79 codes and guidelines.
Ability to respectfully deal with all employees, customers, vendors in a professional manner.
Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions
Able to utilize AutoCAD, A-B & Siemens software to design controls and create programs.
Able to establish plan/ processes to efficiently produce control systems from concept to finished product.
Experience with Concept, Design, Build, Debug of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
