Job Description

Busy manufacturing facility in Dayton has a position available for an experienced Quality Manager/Director!  In this position you will report to the Executive Team and have 8-10 direct reports you are responsible for.  Strong QMS experience required with emphasis on ISO 9001:2015, SPC, Corrective Action and metrology knowledge/background. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directs development of plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
  • Directs production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Develops and implements program quality plans and procedures.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing early in the design stage in order to build quality into the product design and manufacturing process
  • Ensures ISO system documentation of processes are established, implemented and maintained in a clear, simple and concise manner.
  • Assumes responsibility for on-going ISO system maintenance and effectiveness.
  • Keep informed regarding pending ISO or industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes. Make recommendations to top management if additional certifications are needed.
  • Ensure implementation of meaningful corrective actions to eliminate quality and/or environmental non-conformities.


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent desired with 8-10 years quality management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SPC statistical techniques and software.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise communications
  • Sound mathematical and technical skills.
  • Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
  • Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Analytical skills – need to be able to spot problems quickly and find the underlying causes so changes can be made
