Job Description

Busy Manufacturing facility is seeking new team members to work in our Press Department on 1st shift. The Machine Assistant Operator position requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to keep up with the machine in order to meet daily responsibilities. Please note that this position requires strong physical abilities for handling and feeding corrugated into the machines over an 8-hour shift.  

These positions are direct hire and carry monthly production bonuses and safety bonuses! In addition increases are given based on attitude, attendance and cross-training efforts! 

Starting pay is up to $18.00 an hour, based on experience! 

Job Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting of 50 pounds and frequent lifting of 10-20 pounds during a normal workday.
  • Must be able to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometers, and other tools as required by specific jobs
  • Participate in the principles of teamwork
  • Operate and perform at speeds necessary to meet production demand
  • Must be able to bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours. 

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience running a folder/gluer highly desired.
  • Skills desired are troubleshooting, reading specs/prints, being quality oriented, being mechanically inclined.
  • Soft skills should include being very dependable, having the ability to plan ahead and working on a team.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent thereof.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Have a proven attendance record.
