A busy manufacturing facility in the Dayton area is seeking experienced NDT Level II and Level III Inspectors. To be considered, you will have a High School Diploma, and previous experience as a NDT Level II or III. In this role, you will inspect production parts using methods of liquid penetrant (PT) and magnetic particle inspection (MT). 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspects chemically treated metallic and non-metallic parts and assemblies under ultraviolet lighting for defects, such as fissures, weld breaks, or fractures, using magnetic particle or fluid penetrant inspection processes and equipment, using either of following methods: Immerses or sprays ferrous magnetic metal parts with iron oxide solution.
  • Positions parts between electrodes of magnetic testing equipment and activates switch to induce magnetic field that attracts and accumulates iron oxide particles at defective points.
  • Process part(s) in accordance with procedures and technical instructions to evaluate for welding, machining, cold forming, and/or casting discontinuities exceeding requirements specified
  • Set-up, operate, calibrate, and perform Process Control Checks on equipment by following established instructions and record results
  • Interpret, evaluate, and report evaluation results as required and outlined
  • Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to Level I NDT Inspectors
  • Able to read and interpret blueprint and engineering drawings and be able to document non-conformance's as required
  • Provide Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) support. 

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Technical College, Apprenticeship or some College preferred
  • Currently or previously certified to NDT Level II in Mag Particle Testing and/or Fluorescent Dye Penetrant Testing in accordance with NAS-410
  • Must have documented hours for Training & Experience per NAS-410 Level II Magnetic Particle Testing and/or Fluorescent Dye Penetrant Testing
  • You must pass drug and background check
