CNC Vertical Mill Operator 

We have an immediate need for a Mazak CNC Vertical Boring Mill Operator to set up and operate, perform machining operations according to required tolerances and sp4ecifications.  This is a night shift position located in Springboro, Ohio.

Must be available to work night shift hours (4-10 hour days starting hours between 3pm – 5pm)  50 cent shift premium.  Overtime as required. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set-up jobs on the machine, including; loading and securely fixturing the work-pieces onto the work table; adjust programs using zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, and compensation.
  • Calculate speeds and feeds to optimize the machining process.
  • Load/unload tools and use a pre-setter to set tooling gage lengths.
  • Understand and made adjustments to hold geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  • Experience with machining large parts.
  • Read blueprints to program and run work-pieces.
  • Ability to edit Mazatrol programs as required ensuring parts are made to print requirements.
  • Use math, geometry and trigonometry to complete job responsibilities. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience as a CNC Vertical Boring Mill is desired in this role. Mazak experience a plus.
  • Ability to review part prints and assure machining accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Works with CNC programmer to optimize and standardize CNC programs.
  • Ability to trouble shoot CNC programs for issues and errors.
  • Creative problem solver able to work in multi-disciplinary
