Job Description

Quality Engineer 

Busy manufacturing facility in Dayton is seeking an experienced automotive based Quality Engineer to add to their team!  In this position you will be responsible to perform all necessary tasks in the implementation, administration and maintenance of the Quality Management System. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement of core processes to ensure manufacturing quality is maintained while efficiency is optimized
  • Establishes, maintains, and facilitates implementation of the QMS to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
  • Ensures compliance for all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions relating to the company.
  • Interacts with customers in regards to quality specifications and production quality concerns.
  • Promotes customer requirement awareness throughout the organization.
  • Schedule and facilitate Management Review Meetings.
  • Establish, document and implement processes to identify special characteristics.
  • Facilitating corrective and preventative actions.
  • Issue and track supplier scorecards and follow up activities as required, including claims.
  • Establish corrective actions for deficiencies.
  • Maintain updated reporting of results of quality management system effectiveness.
  • Interacts with customer after receipt of RFQ to answer any questions regarding construction requirements, testing methods and any other relevant information requested by the customer.
  • Arrange and track trials for new constructions as requested by the customer.
  • Interacts with the customer during preproduction to develop and establish Inspection Standards and PPAP submissions. 


  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of Quality Engineering experience
  • Knowledgeable in IATF16949 and ISO9001 Required
  • APQP, PPAP experience preferred
