Job Description

We have an immediate, direct hire opportunity for an experienced Systems Integration/Test Engineer in a leadership capacity.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Manage and direct activities associated with integration & test
Building and evaluating new design releases
Ensuring the product is reliable and robust enough to meet customer demands
Challenging the team to find and record the limits of performance (not just validating project specifications) and to provide recommendations back to design engineering for improvement
Champion the design-for-test efforts throughout the development process
Enhanced automation and methods to detect issues earlier in testing process
Identify creative ways to accelerate product development cycle times
Establish a vision of behaviors and capabilities that will satisfy current and future manufacturing requirements
Effective transition of new designs from engineering into an AS9100 manufacturing environment
Drive state-of-the-art testing processes, tools, fixtures, and automation techniques
Establish appropriate levels of test assets to validate and test new designs
Operate in close partnership with Operations
Proactively seek out production and quality inefficiencies related to the product design and devise methods to improve upon the identified inefficiencies
Provide optimal test solutions and strategies through continuous improvement and the effective management of people, process, and equipment
Review all new product designs with respect to how they will be manufactured
Determine current and future equipment needs to allow for increased production volume and quality enhancements of both current and new products
Build intra-departments relationships to remove barriers and accelerate communication
This position is responsible for process ownership, which includes the following:
Process creation/deletion
Coordinates process training/updates
Process improvements (including incorporation of program lessons learned)
Development of metrics to measure departmental progress.
Position is responsible for the management of direct reports

Capable of clearly defining appropriate technical approaches and solutions to the most mission critical challenges
Ability to engage in continuous learning
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, remain organized and complete objectives on time
Ability to define and communicate critical project criteria to ensure project completion
Ability to develop employees who are in leadership and technical roles
Technical skills in lean product development, Kaizen, and process improvement
Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of disciplines in a dynamic environment
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to communicate within all levels of the organization

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

BSEE, BSEET or MSEE with at least 10 years of experience in a management and leadership role preferred
Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
