Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Technician in the Dayton area.  This is an entry level position and a great opportunity for a very mechanical minded individual to get their foot in the door with a great company working in Maintenance. Position is 2nd or 3rd shift with a starting pay of $17.00 an hour!

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.

1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
3. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
4. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

o Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience;
o 1-2 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC. Incinerator and boiler experience is a plus.
o Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

When called upon, must be available for overtime, including staying after normal shift, call-ins, and weekends as needed.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
