Job Description

Maintenance Technician 

2nd shift position: 5pm - 3:30am. 10 hour shifts Monday - Friday. 8 hour shifts on Saturday.

Primary Duties:
-Repairing, maintaining and improving industrial machinery, special assembly machines, injection molding machines, brazing, tig welding, spot welding and other production equipment.
-Perform electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical control troubleshooting
-all other duties assigned by management

Secondary Duties:
-ability to operate all production equipment
-welding
-strong awareness of safety
-ability to work as a team member in a team oriented environment

Qualifications: (including education requirements)
-associates degree in a technical discipline, a plus or ETA or NCCER Certification or Electro Mechanical PLC Technician Certification necessary
-3+ years of experience electrical/mechanical troubleshooting at the component level
-3+ years of experience working on industrial assembly machines
-Experience with VOM with the ability to understand the results, troubleshoot components, (proximity switch, limit switch, PLC input/output level)
-Blue Print reading is desirable
-Intermediate PLC skills, troubleshooting using PLC, ladder logic, machine electrical prints, very little or no PLC programming required, only ability to use the PLC as a tool to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
-Welding experience
-Strong mechanical skills, such as understanding hydraulics and pneumatics, not only theory, but real, hands on experience
-Basic machine shop practices, such as drilling holes with dill press, tapping holes, threading pipe, identifying pipe fittings, and how they are used (some water lines, mostly air lines)
-Ability to measure in inches, millimeters, with tape measures, scales, micrometers and calipers
-Basic knowledge of milling machine and lathe operations is desirable.
