Job Description

As a Robotic Welding Technician, you will develop weldments for automotive suspensions and associated linkages. In this position you will set up, program and operate robotic welders, perform QA on incoming products as well as on your own finished products. Capable of providing technical expertise to ensure product quality and continuous improvement to the manufacturing processes. Responsible for troubleshooting systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance on systems to minimize downtime, while keeping safety as a priority. Provide team cross-training and technical support.

Job Requirements:
> Minimum of 5 years as a Robotic Welder/Robotic Weld Technician
> Ability to perform set-up, operation, program editing & programming of Robotic Welding equipment
> Expert knowledge of weld parameters and settings
> Weld Jig Design (CATIA or other 3D software)
> Expert ability to read blueprints and interpret weld diagrams and symbols
> Experience working with a variety of materials, material thickness and weld procedures
> Capable of detecting weld discrepancies visually and modifying weld machine parameters
> Support goal of achieving first time quality and efficiency
> Ensure that operator safety devices function properly
> Support Engineering in weld cell start-up and fixture design
> Maintain accurate documentation resulting in shared knowledge and lessons learned
> Able to work overtime on an as needed basis to achieve customer deliveries & schedule
> Metal fabrication experience/knowledge with vertical mill machining and lathe
> Able to solve problems and/or navigate obstructions positively
> Team player able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
> Able to manage multiple often conflicting priorities
> Ability to pass background check and drug screening
o Minimum of 3-5 years as a Robotic Welder/Robotic Weld Technician
o Trade School or equivalent welding certification
o Associate's Degree in Robotics Technology or related field or equivalent experience
o Well-developed technical communication skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
o CATIA CAD Software knowledge/skills
