Job Description

RF Engineer

The RF Engineer is responsible to design, analyze, document, and verify RF circuits and modules including receivers, transmitters, LNAs, oscillators, PLLs, and filters.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Design RF products including LNAs, synthesizers, filters, power amplifiers, and switches.
Integrate necessary analog and digital interfaces or controls.
Design for EMI/EMC, reliability and thermal performance.
Direct PCB designers to assure superior RF performance of layouts.
Develop performance validation methodology and production test/alignment processes.
Validate new designs for specification compliance.
Function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary design team.
Support sales and marketing groups.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience in RF filter and amplifier design, supporting circuitry, impedance matching, evaluating performance tradeoffs, and analysis at frequencies less than 2.5GHz.
Experience using Genesys RF simulation software or similar.
Experience in mixed-signal PCB layout and familiarity with PCB design software.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Effectively and efficiently communicate with other departments, including manufacturing, planning, engineering and management.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customer in verbal and written formats.

Education and/or Experience:

Must be a US Citizen.
BSEE from an ABET accredited college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience required OR accredited MSEE and 2+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with RF modeling and simulation required.
Experience with military standards and specifications highly desired.
