Job Description

We are seeking to hire a full-time Structural Engineer to join an experienced team of Structural Engineers and Designers to support growing Structural Engineering Department and its diverse range of projects and clients.  

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor level degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.  Recent graduates with a degree in Civil Engineering must demonstrate evidence of consistent involvement and interest in Structural Engineering.
  • 2 to 5 years of Structural Engineering experience.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Masters level degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience using Revit or other Structural Engineering modeling software.
  • A demonstrated ability to render Structural Engineering CAD models.
  • A working proficiency creating and using Structural Engineering drawings is desirable. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Relevant experience in an industrial setting and project cost-estimating are preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Any experience in agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, oilseeds, biofuels, grain milling & handling, pet food or animal feed would be helpful.  

SUCCESS CHARACTERISTICS

  • The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-based, multidisciplinary environment.
  • The ability to manage multiple-assignments and to flexibly re-prioritize work as necessary.
  • Attention to detail, adhering to quality standards, and customer service skills are essential.
  • A willingness to eventually obtain a PE license is necessary. Completion of the EIT or FE exam is a significant plus.
