Assembly Technician – 1st shift!

General Area of Responsibility:

Work as part of a team responsible for assembly of attachment products. Job could include sub-assembly and assembly, hanging and unloading new paint line, and other opportunities for cross-training.  Starting pay for this 1st shift position is between $14-$15.00 an hour!

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Position, align and adjust workpieces for proper assembly and conformance to specifications.
  • Ensure assembly meets quality specifications.
  • Complete required production and quality paperwork. Report any required materials or non-conformances to team lead and staff manager.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support and follow company objectives and safety policies.
  • Work in a team environment. 

Education/Background Requirements:        

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing assembly and safety practices 

Other Skills/Requirements:

  • Strong math and mechanical aptitude and must be detail-oriented.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to safely operate forklift and overhead crane and hoists
  • Strong problem-solving skills to determine alternative solutions and approaches to
  • production problems
  • Ability and willingness to learn new processes, and rotate job functions as needed.
