Job Description

A shipping/receiving clerk typically works in a warehouse environment and is responsible for tracking inventory levels, handling all aspects of shipping and receiving, maintaining metrics and keeping accurate records. Shipping and Receiving Clerks work with carriers and drivers, set up appointments this includes checking in drivers, updating drivers, carriers and the logistics team. They will work with customer service and release work to the floor as requested by the lead /supervisor. The clerks will provide data and turnover information to the oncoming shift.
