Job Description

Mechanical Assembler 

  • A solid understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools
  • Check parts to blueprints for form fit and function
  • Deburr and mask parts for paint
  • Mechanically assemble parts according to blueprint specifications
  • Run pneumatic lines and cables to designated components
  • Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
  • Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-fact bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and portable power tools
  • Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
  • Inspect and test systems to ensure conformance to specifications and functional performance
  • Disassemble units to replace parts or crate them for shipping
  • Take pictures of your assembly and download into the project file
  • Abide by all safety standards
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline is a plus
  • 3 years’ experience required!
