Job Description

We are looking for experienced Press Operator Team leads that specialize in motivating employees and creating efficiencies.  These jobs will be for 2nd and 3rd shift and must be able to work with little supervision as the Managers are on first shift.  You will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Responsible for correct set-ups, set-up times, improving hit to hit time, efficiencies and productivity of area. 
  • Assists associate(s) with initial inspection to assure quality of parts produced.
  • Oversees completion of paperwork on quality, piece count and material traceability.
  • Assist with and coordinate training of new hire associates and any additional training needed for seasoned associates. This includes all aspects of Plex.
  • Ensures associates are manufacturing parts to print or works with tool room/quality personnel to accomplish requirements.
  • Determines need for maintenance and works with maintenance/tool room to accomplish requirements.
  • Oversees and/or performs all material handling issues to keep equipment up and running. Includes disposition of all raw, WIP, scrap and hold items and pre-staging dies, material and containers.
  • Troubleshoots machine problems, and assists with resolving problems.
  • Work with scheduler and production manager to prioritize and coordinate schedule.
  • Monitor walk-about information and follow up as necessary.
