Job Description

The position of Plastic Extrusion Production employee is a challenging position in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Prior plastics manufacturing experience is not required but would be an asset.  Preferably in a cast extrusion film operation.

The Plastic Extrusion Production employee is responsible as part of a team for the daily production of the extrusion line and associated automated equipment, shipping and receiving, the daily recording and accuracy of production data sheets, and operation of a forklift / pallet jack.

The Production employee will be trained to and is responsible for maintaining production and quality control by ensuring proper operation of plastic extrusion machinery and mechanical equipment.

Detailed tasks:

  • Detailed knowledge and previous experience with plastic processing machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools and systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, electronic systems (PLC), and production machines and equipment.
  • Maintain and operate all equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ safety protocol, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective or damaged parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools.
  • Be able to start all production equipment to test their performance.
  • Prepare production reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Initial hourly wage range of $13-$15 per hour, pending experience.

Dress Code

Buckeye Diamond Logistics has a casual dress environment. Jeans, t-shirt, and sweat-shirt are acceptable and shorts are permitted during warm weather months.  All employees are required to wear closed toe work shoes. We recommend high top shoes and/or steel toe safety shoes.   Safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves are required.


Hours of Operation & Lunch Break

This position is on 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.  Overtime would need to be worked as required.
